Our Sunday student gatherings offer a variety of atmospheres for the purpose of emphasizing three components in the spiritual growth of our young people. Those three components are knowledge/passion for God, healthy community with others and an outlet for loving service.
Knowledge/Passion: The Relevant Topics are about seeing God’s heart for our everyday concerns and obstacles in life. Topics in the past have been forgiveness, freedom of speech, popularity, and religion.
Knowledge/Passion: United is a chance for the entire student ministry (5-12 grades) to unite for an extended time of instrumental worship together.
Community: The Life nights are an opportunity for students to share what God has been doing in their lives. This enables students to encourage each other in providing a realistic expectation of what living “the life,” Jesus calls us to live really looks like right now, today!
Community: The Loft Parties are loads of fun and a great opportunity to invite new friends. These parties are usually themed. Previous themes include Country Bonanza, Hip-Hop Night and Rockstar Night. There is also an annual Loft Party in the spring called the Big Box Film Festival. This is an opportunity for students to showcase short-films they have created.
Service: The Cause is about taking action. God says (Eph. 2:10) He created us to do good works which have been prepared in advance for us to do. The Cause is about doing that good work. We want to look at the needs around us and get involved. The Cause is about helping young people live a life of action; that demonstrates Christ love for others.
